Richet Jalbidhyut Company Limited was founded as a private company on Chaitra 12, 2070 BS (March 25, 2014) and later converted to a public company on Ashar 28, 2079 BS (July 13, 2022). The central office of the company is located at Mahalaxmisthan, Lalitpur. The company has developed the Richet Khola Small Hydropower Project, a run-of-river type project with an installed capacity of 4.98 MW. The project is located in Gandaki Province, Gorkha District, Aarughat Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 and Dharche Rural Municipality Ward No. 6. The company concluded its power purchase agreement on 2073.02.23 (June 5, 2016) with Nepal Electricity Authority. The company received its project survey license on 2071.02.23 (June 6, 2014). Commercial operation began from Shrawan 28, 2078 BS (August 13, 2021).
